Which is quite essential for an e-commerce website. * But because it lacks all capability of opting customers into specific groups or custom merge fields, it forces us to be an overpriced WooCommerce extension or try to use two different MailChimp plugins and avoid conflicts…which rarely happens. * I’m currently using your plugin just for the ecommmerce sync, and another plugin that has the capability of monitoring my WordPress users list and then syncing custom fields to MailChimp once it detects a change (which is front-end, user driven). We agree with your thoughts on improving capabilities for the plugin and we’re actively pursuing numerous feature enhancements. * Merge field mapping is on our radar, and we’re researching the best way forward with the plugin. For us, we have to consider many aspects of development and customer use-case scenarios; sometimes that means that features are slower to be released than others. If your need for custom mapping is urgent, you may be able to find a 3rd party developer to help you out with customizing the plugin for your needs. * In the interim, the e-commerce data we’re syncing for your website can be used for manual campaigns and automations such as abandoned carts, product recommendations, order notifications and much more. I desperately > want to work with abandoned cart recovery via Mailchimp. * I still use this horrible plugin out of necessity, but I pair it with “MailChimp for WordPress” and custom coding to avoid conflicts and to make sure I get all the functionality I need. It really depends on my clients’ applications though. * I think I would still avoid this plugin in the short term. I have uncovered two different bugs in the integrations between MailChimp and Shopify, and MailChimp and WooCommerce.
