  • Hi,

    I have this problem: I use the theme “rubric”, I whant to change the colors of scrollbar in this site: http://www.rossweb.it/blog/

    Yes, I say that it’s valid for IE only… but…

    Also, I have insert thit code in to css file of “rubric” theme:

    body { scrollbar-face-color: #FFFFFF; scrollbar-shadow-color: #C0C0C0; scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFFFFF;
    scrollbar-3dlight-color: #000000; scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #000000; scrollbar-track-color: #C0C0C0;
    scrollbar-arrow-color: #C0C0C0; }

    Usually this code run. But the W3C specifics:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//IT”
    “http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd”>

    in index.php of “rubric” theme cause a stop.

    If I change this

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//IT”
    “http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd”>

    the calendar in “rubric” theme lost the format.

    Please, help me. Tanks.

    Scrollbar colours ONLY work in IE, regardless of the Doctype and validation.

    It is not possible if you want to use XHTML as these properties are illegal. They are not defined in the CSS specification nor are they marked as proprietary.

    If you want to use with normal HTML, please use this DOCTYPE:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN”>

    as this DOCTYPE will not work:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN”
    “http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd”>
