Support » Plugin: Zero BS WordPress CRM » Its nice but….

  • I tried it out and it seemed better than other solutions I have tried, but annoying missed a couple of key features I really need, which is subscriptions and direct debit. This is primarily what stopped me paying for ZBS.

    I don’t want to be chasing unpaid invoices, either because the client forgot or they hope I will, I want them to be paid automatically.
    This is easy to do with both Stripe and Paypal, so I really hope they add this in the near future.

    In the meantime, I am sticking with quickbooks for my billing, which supports direct debits and subscriptions with GoCardless and stripe.

    Hi @lordsnake – thanks for stopping by and leaving a review.

    We’ve not had as many requests for Direct Debit integrations as we’d thought we would have – I’ll add this to the feature request list so we can keep track.

    Re: subscriptions – many of our users are managing these via WooCommerce & WooSync’ing them into ZBS CRM. In the near future we’ll be adding recurring payments as part of Invoicing Pro, but first we have to get our big update out (v3.0). So we welcome the input there – that one should get sorted in the mid-term.

    Re: Quickbooks – that makes sense and we understand. Would recommend you vote on the Quickbooks integration here though: https://zerobscrm.com/coming-soon/ – because then we can drop you a line when we get a good integration with that so you can have the best of both!

    Using Woocommerce is overkill for this, it is also an additional cost (like most things) as you have to add subscriptions plugin.
    One workaround is to setup your subscription manually in stripe or GoCardless and then just manually mark invoices as paid, but this was also pretty pointless for me when I can just have Quickbooks take care of it instead.

    Lots of people do not even think about direct debit or think it is too complicated to setup.

    @lordsnake – appreciate your points.

    In actual fact, you make a great point here:

    One workaround is to setup your subscription manually in stripe or GoCardless and then just manually mark invoices as paid

    … in fact if you had Stripe Sync setup and set the subs in stripe, StripeSync would automatically pull these through & make invoices to match them. That might be a way around. Go Cardless definitely on the list.

    Thanks again for the feedback, it helps us drive this forward.

    Woody
