It's lightweight

    Not just minimalistic, responsive and mobile friendly. It also very lightweight on the frontend.

    I created a test site and put some articles, without header image. Load the home page, and this is the result:

    – GridBulletin = 64 KB
    – OneColumn = 65 KB
    – MyKnowledgeBase = 66 KB
    – Catch Box = 90 KB
    – Celestial Lite = 98 KB
    – Twenty Fourteen = 189 KB
    – Twenty Fifteen = 278 KB
    – Pure & Simple = 278 KB

    The Internet of nowadays is fast. But if you need theme that is bandwidth friendly and load fast on mobile devices, GridBulletin and OneColumn are good choices. WordPress default themes seems bloated in the comparison.
