• Had to add a HIGH5 for the latest version. Love the new “Live traffic” interface it is fabulous!! Extra star for that improvement… (if more stars could be granted.)

I know this sounds strange… but I get a lot satisfaction watching the hack attempts get blocked by this great plugin.

Each day I check the blocked ip’s and live traffic to see if anyone has tried a new exploit etc.

I then adjust the Wordfence options to ban new URLS that start showing as the ‘test the water’ attempts and/or block the IPs showing up as malicious users.

It does a great job. But as you can expect the hackers have more time than us, so are always pushing to get through. So by watching the activity logs (which Wordfence helps you with) you can try and keep one step ahead.

So many people look for the magic bullet and complain a single plugin didn’t stop it. I don’t think a single plugin ever could, but Wordfence comes close.

It’s brilliant. One tool in an arsenal of essential plugins all WordPress users need.

    Hi @eco569

    Wordfence coupled with:

    • UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    • WP-SpamShield
    • WP Security Audit Log
    • Limit Login Attempts

provide a robust set of tools for protecting and maintaining control of your site.

There are always others and I haven’t tried everything. I don’t see a reason to change as they do everything needed thus far and work well together.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your reply
