iThemes SSL and WooCommerce SSL don't play nice

  • Hi,

I use iThemes security as well as WooCommerce and a few WC extensions. If you activate ‘SSL per content’ in iTS it seems to conflict with WC and its setting ‘force ssl during checkout’ and ‘unforce ssl after checkout’.

You can’t seem to use ‘ssl per content’ and ‘force’ and ‘unforce’ together, you can only use one or the other. which is ok for me, because its not critical to SSL any pages except my checkout.

If i use both together i get an infinite loop error. if i only use ‘ssl per content’ all internal hyperlinks have https in them, and so once a user navigates to the checkout page, they cant navigate away because the page they are trying to navigate to is not set to SSL except its hyperlink has https.

It might be just my setup. and its not a major concern for me but i thought id let u know.

updated: the infinite loop occurs anywhere a page is set to ssl this page, but only when trying to navigate away from the initial ssl page. you can navigate successfully around so long as you don’t go to a page that is set to ssl.
