I should add that we have now deactivated this plugin and reactivated the previous paypal now retired plugin. We add exactly the same items to cart that give the above error and use the old plugin and everything works seamlessly. The new plugin remains unfit for purpose.

Hello @robadeedoo123
Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this issue.
We are currently able to reproduce this issue and are working on the fix. We expect this to be resolved in the next release which should launch in a few days. For now, you can use release 1.8.1 in order to resolve the issue until the next release is available. You can download the older version from the dropdown at the bottom of this page.

Hi Femi,
we had the same problem, I could solve it by rolling back. I did some tests and can rule out any plugin (at least them we are using) and theme. And, which is weird, it only happens when someone orders more than one coffee, only this product group other products with the same settings work totally fine. I can’t find any difference.
Maybe this helps!
Hi @dmwc,
Before the update 1.9.0, incorrect tax values were sent to PayPal under certain circumstances. This issue was fixed in the last update, but it introduced a new problem when two of the same product are in the cart.
The downgrade to the previous version is the recommended solution for the time being, but a new update with a fix is on the way and available as a pre-release from GitHub:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases/tag/1.9.1-test1
This update should officially be released in the coming days.
Kind regards,
Niklas
Running on 1.9.1, experiencing the exact same error… Any hope, this gets fixed soon? – If I can help in any way (logs, etc.), name it!
