    Hello,
I tried to translate ATUM plugin to Italian language with Poedit opening the atum.pot file and translating some strings. I saved a file called atum-it_IT.po in the languages folder but the strings I translated remain in English. Obviously my WordPress installation is set in Italian language. What wrong?

    Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for your post

I’ve been testing your issue and it’s working for us.

Please, note that the only file that WordPress understands is the one with the “mo” extension (the compiled translation file). You’re saving the po file, so this could be the problem.

Furthermore, I understand that when you say “languages” folder, you’re talking about one of the following two:
    – wp-content/plugins/atum-stock-manager-for-woocommerce/
    – wp-content/languages/plugins/

Please, try to save the mo file in one of the above folders and if it still doesn’t work for you, tell us.

    Hope this help.

    Best regards,
    José Andrés

    Hi José,

Thank you for your fast reply. I think I solved the issue: I moved the atum-it_IT.mo file in wp-content/languages/plugins/ and now it seems to work correctly.
Before the file was in wp-content/plugins/atum-stock-manager-for-woocommerce/plugins/.

    Sorry for waste of time…

    Best regards,
    Ivan
