• Basically what I was looking for was some better search and filtering option for woocommerce store.

There are many problems with using this plugin:

    1. It’s complicated and not easy for people who are not programming savvy (on a higher level then just pure logic, where you can figure it out some stuff on your own or with small help of google). For example:
First options, if you want to turn on ajax search is:

Div to display result : [field to type the code] For Ajax only
The Div id/class of where you want the result to display. eg. #content, .content (Must have the ‘#’ or ‘.’ in front of the div name!)

Maybe many of you understand it but for me it’s like: WTF? I put #content because this was the only thing presented to me but it resulted with very ugly view, so I must turn it down. What are other possibilities here? No idea. The most frustrating part is: I even don’t know what to look for and if I don’t know that, it’s like a big stop. Nothing to do.

I experimented with settings and was able to create taxonomy button or drop down choice but that I can have with built in woocommerce widget and it would look better.
I wasn’t able to get meta fields to work, all I got was some form but without choice.

Basically I didn’t understand any of the what I was doing. I don’t know php so options descriptions were completely gibberish for me.

    2. Plugin is for English language only. One must translate it manually to adjust it for own language. That’s a big limitation. Most plugins need to change few words in a code, this one, because of its complication, needs more.

    3. String search didn’t work for woocommerce products.

    4. The graphical form of the search form, buttons is… ugly. Just very basic stuff with no graphical touch or adjustment.Search button is… so early 90s… ;P. Not my style…

Overall, if I knew/understand how to set it right, it could give me a few more options then woocommerce navi filters but not more and yet look and language adaptation is much worse.

This isn’t plugin for all. It doesn’t do for me :(.

And how do I contact him?
I’m sure this is a good plugin, other reviews confirm that. However it’s not for everybody because it requires knowledge that I don’t have.

Through experimentations I was always able to fix some minor problems, even when it required changing php and messing even with core code. But that requires time and digging. I don’t have it so much lately and I just want to install the plugin, set what I need, maybe a few experiments and I’m good to go. Here I would need days to sit just on this one. Sorry, that’s the first plugin that is too complicated for me. Truly, I never met any WP plugin that would be so confusing and so off from intuitive approach.

Maybe old version “Advance WP Query Search Filter” will do the trick. Screens suggest easier setting page.

Besides, I found out this article:
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-ajax-taxonomies-filter-in-wordpress-search/

It still leaves me with no answers on many basic questions and hardest options are not even shown there.

Don’t downrate a great plugin just because your web skills aren’t that good.

My rate was based on the fact, that although this plugin might be great, it is not for all. Most plugins doesn’t require any skills, just basic knowledge of WP then you can read options and you know what to do more or less.
From my experience, 95% plugins is made that way. There may be someetimes some options that may be not entirely clear but it doesn’t rule out of using them. However in this case, plugin becomes completely useless when you are not skilled above the average. This should be known and this is plugin WEAKNESS, so I stay by my rating.

Besides, available manuals are not up to date so that’s again a minus for this plugis.

The whole point of the CMR system like WP is to make creating sites easy, without extensive php knowledge so it would become available for many layman.
