    I’m working on my very first blog … everything was going well during the styling … except, when I want to put <img alt=”Tags:” src=images/icons/tag.jpg” /> it never shows the actual image, instead it shows the alt-text … the xhtml is valid and averything … I just can’t figure out what’s wrong … is there something else I should be looking for?

    Please help! 🙂

  • <img alt="Tags:" src=images/icons/tag.jpg" />

    use the full url to the img, or as I learned recently, use:

    <img alt="Tags:" src=/images/icons/tag.jpg" />

    No, it doens’t have to do with the src=” … “

    because when i put
    <img alt=”Tags:” src=images/icons/tag.jpg” />
    on a fresh index.htm it does work … it just won’t show when I use it as Tag-icon … still the html is valid … i just don’t get it …

    Look above you’ll see the solution your using a relative path adding the slash in front makes it an absolute path. This tells your browser to look in the root directory of the website for the images folder.
