Support » Plugin: The SEO Framework » It was my best option but not anymore

  • I have been using and recommending this plugin for years as an alternative to Yoast.

It was a clear difference on how to do things the right way, without pushing the users.
With the latest versions, the developer is adding new features like the persistent notifications that are really annoying, annoying enough for me to write this review.

I understand that he does this to get more people into the premium option , hey marketing works!
I never went into the premium because the whole pricing model is wrong imho.
Maybe that is what should be changing and not the features that make some of us pick this plugin in the first place.

Anyway, sad to see that another great plugin is going into the same wagon as the rest.
If you do not care about the notifications, go ahead and try the plugin.
If you do, well, not sure if there are many options left.

    — EDIT —
After talking with the developer. I change the review again from 4 to 5 stars (it was never less than 4, to be fair).
I can agree or disagree with some things, but the developer liste and explain why he does what he does. And of course we can disagree on how to manage things and on some other settings, but the plugin is top and it deserves 5 stars.

  • @darkpollo, I agree 100%. The plugin it’s Great, But the pricing Model is the Worse, only surppased by Yoast. Sybre have to make structural changes that Let him to offer the plugin for $49 or $59 anually for unlimited licenses without any limitation. This is the only way that The SEO Framework can increase their sales exponentially.

I think that would be too cheap for what it offers.
I would pay more than that, but yeah the business model is not the best.
