It ticks several Woo product categories

    Hi,
    I encounter a weird thing.
    When I click one certain Woocommerce product category, it also ticks 2 others sub-sub-categories, always the same.
    I don’t understand where it can come from.
    Can someone guess what’s going on please ?

    Definitely a strange situation you’ve got there! First, could you check if your theme or any plugins that affect the product category have any pending updates. Updating them can sometimes fix such issues.

    Next, to rule out any browser cache issues, please clear your browser cache and test the behavior again.

    If the issue persists, to get a better idea of what’s happening, could you provide a URL for the product category in question? Also, if you can, a quick video showing the issue as it happens would be super helpful.

    You can use a service loom.com to record your screen then share the link here. This way, we can take a closer look and figure out the best steps to resolve it.

    Hi @reynierc,

    I also have this problem. It turns out it selects all categories in which the prefix matches what I selected. Ex. When I select “19”, it’ll choose “199”, “1919”, “1997”.

    I’ve tested my site on a staging environment switching from DIVI theme to wp 2025 theme.
    Then I’ve tested the products in back-office and the problem is still there.
    Coming from the back-office, I think it doesn’t have to do with the theme.
    @reynierc , please let me ko,w what you think of this.

    This is a known issue with the WordPress version 6.7.1.
    It has been addressed in WordPress as part of this issue https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/62504 and should be released as part of WordPress 6.7.2.

    Hi @antoine69 ,

    As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the release date for WordPress version 6.7.2. However, the next major release, WordPress 6.8, is planned for April 2025.

    Since the issue pertains to WordPress core and not specifically to WooCommerce, I’ll mark this thread as resolved. If you have any other questions regarding WooCommerce, please feel free to create a new topic.
