I manage two WordPress Multi-Sites. One uses multiple gateways (different domains and landing pages, but one website).

    1. Is this plugin WordPress Multi-Site compatible?
    2. If I “Network enable” this plugin, do I still have to register and pay for each gateway which allows comments or uses a contact form on the landing page?

    Hi David,

    1. Yes, the plugin is Multisite compatible.
    2. It depends. You can register once and choose multiste package (5, 10, 50 and etc. websites), then manage plugin settings by yourself. Or you can let the yours users register on our website to get an account.

Any way, the Network enable plugin have to be managed at each website, so you have to enter Access key and manage setting per website.

By the way, I don’t understand “multiple gateways”. What is the difference against WordPress multisite installation?

    Thanks!

Thanks. You did answer my questions. Going by what you wrote, I will have to license each gateway separately.

Multiple gateways is a marketing technique to target differing demographics. When used with a website, it usually takes the form of different landing pages and often different domains while keeping the core content of the website as a single set of files and often within a single domain. High-end implementations of the technique can style the look of the entire website based on which gateway the visitor came through and even retains the gateway domain. It gives the illusion of multiple websites to a single website and content.

Hypothetical case scenario: An automotive service shop serves both women and men, but would market differently to women than to men. A website for the shop will get improved response from women by placing emphasis on safety and personal, caring service and by guiding them into the website using a landing page tailored for style and elegance. Yet, an improved response from men requires attention to value and durability, guiding them into the website using a landing page tailored to be bold and sexy. Rather than maintaining two separate websites, multiple gateways allows the automotive shop’s graphics and content for landing pages to be customized for each gender, sending them to a single website through different domains.
