[Resolved] It seems working, but…

Hey! First, thank for this simple solution! I have WP 3.7.1 with the default Twentythirteen theme (has the wp_head() tag in it’s header.php) and after installing i see the <title> tag is filled properly. The only question is why this in the <head> section, close to its end:

    <!– WordPress Click & Go SEO –>
    <!– WordPress Click & Go SEO –>

followed by something else not related to this plugin. What is the purpose of this note and why is it doubled?

    Thanks in advance,
    András Király.

Those comments are placed there so you can identify the code added by the plugin itself. Don’t you have the meta description tag in there? What happens if you enable the rel canonical tag?

I know it is a comment, and this is the reason why i’m suprised. The code added by the plugin is not here, so the comment is useless at this point. The <title> is the 14th line of the HTML but this comment is in line 54 and 55, between two scripts. The rel=’canonical’ is enabled and in the 45th line. BTW thanks for asking about the description, because i just realized it’s missing from the HTML code, so something is wrong with the plugin. I expect this part also at the beginning, like the <title>. So now we have not just one, but two questions.

1.) Why the comment at that place?
2.) Why the description is missing?

    Thanks in advance,
    András Király.

If you add some text to the posts excerpt that should be taken as description. About the comment, please check if there isn’t any blank space somewhere, I’m sanitising pretty much everything but still. Without access to your site it’s a bit difficult to tell you what exactly is wrong. I am currently working on the second version of the plugin and hopefully I will release a new version in two weeks with improved UI and this will definitely get fixed. I am even considering removing those comments completely, because I placed them in the first version just to make sure which part is coming from my plugin and for the users to have a clear view what code has been added to their site.

I have only a few pages but no posts, so no excerpts. But i don’t need the excerpt feature, because i filled the “Home Page Meta Description” field in your plugin. My problem is that i don’t see this description in the source code of the home page, this is why the 2nd question in my previous post. Where is the place in the HTML code i can expect the appearance of the meta description?

I’m sorry but i don’t understand where should i search for blank spaces regarding to the comment came from your plugin.

BTW these comments are theoretically useful as because you explain: the user have a clear view what lines are added by this plugin. But only if those added line are between the comments (or after one comment). In my case those two comment lines are alone, without any extra stuff in the code. So it is only useful because of the opposite of the original intention: shows that something is wrong (nothing added there).

Excerpts will work for your posts only. In the next version I will add automatic description generation and a field to add it manually.

As to your other question, this seems to be working fine on the tests I made and probably it’s caused by some interference with another plugin or function of your theme. Can you give me the link to your site so I can take a closer look at it?

    @kiralyandras

There is a field when i can add the description manually, isn’t it? Yes, it is and i used it.

BTW, i have no other idea how to solve it, so here is the page (it was under construction until now): http://3d-foto.hu

    Thanks for your help!
