    Hey guys,

Thank you for this great plugin, but I have a big hitch with it.

I was using wp total cache, but after reading a lot of articles on how to configure cdn, I come to conclude that w3 total cache have a lot of advantage over wp super cache so I decided to switch over, and here is my problem.
    1. After installing w3 total cache my site speed reduced drastically. You can see the result I have with wp super cache on pingdom here pingdom result. After configuring w3 total cache, I ran another test, and here is the result.

The worst part of it is that, the result I got with wp total cache is without cdn service, but in w3 super cache, there is cdn service been added, of which I am expecting an amazing speed, but everything is way too down.

What should I do to boost my site speed with this plugin, because moving from 3.07s load time to 6.72s is not encouraging.
First result with wp super cache without CDN,

    load time 3.07s
Your website is faster than 52% of all tested websites

second result with w3 total cache and CDN,

load time 6.72sYour website is slower than 78% of all tested websites

  • W3TC needs to be understood and configured optimally for your environment, just ticking all the boxes is not recommended unless you understand what is going on.

Thanks for the thread. though the idea there does not speed up my site as I expected, but there is quite a good improvement. But am not relented to that. So on this case, am going to mark this as resolved.

    Thanks ones again.

you need to wait a bit for the caching to finish it gets better after 48 hours if you’re ont he free clouflare

secondly, every time you make a change on your site , I would recommend, clearing caches in this order:

    1 auoptimize
    2. w3tc
3 cloudflare (although you can clear only one page etc)

again, this will then take a while to create the new cache.

SO i would eventually only do this once your site is finished and you stop makeing frequent changes

Ok. Giving to thje issue of autoptimise, I tried it, but it seems not much compatible to my site, although I used it with wp super cache which works well then, but now, it seems like different game and a new game all together, so I decided to go with cloudflare minification.

On the issue of not making frequent changes, does it include writing new posts and pages, or just configurations and settings?

Giving to your experience with cloudflare, W3TC and Autoptimize, which one serves better?
If autoptimize is the best, would you mind sharing your settings with me. The options you ticked.

I don’t really have experience much with any of these. I use all three at the same time.

Autoptimize for minification, so turn of minfy in w3tc and cloudflare.

Your option will depend on your site setup really so I wouldn’t advise just to copy them, Read the documentation for all products as it is quite expensive.

Ok thanks for that. I will try that autoptimize again, from my accessment, it works great with wp super cache, and I believe it will work as well with w3tc
