Support » Plugin: Site Kit by Google » it makes the woocommerce cart fail :(

  • I installed this plugin few weeks ago, i was happy of it since i launched a Google Ads Campaign for christmas and i discovered that this plugin was the cause of almost 70€ lost. I use hotjar in my company’s website, it is a service that let you see a kind of video of what the user does inside your website, thanks to this service i saw a lot of people adding products to the cart and then the cart was empty. I was really angry seeing this happened because i was loosing money so i decided to go to check each plugin we have installed one by one, i have checked even my server configuration and every kind of options possible and i discovered the the problem was caused by this plugin 🙁 🙁
    When i’ve de-activated this plugin everything turned to be right again, the cart worked again.
    It was the last plugin i checked because i said to me “hey this is from Google, it’s impossible that it doesn’t work” and the funny (for me not so funny) part is that i lost money that i gave to Google itself by a campaign. I’m sooooooo angry!!!!!!!
    DON’T INSTALL THIS PLUGIN IF YOU USE WOOCOMMERCE!!!

    @2dispari Sorry to hear you were encountering issues, and thanks for reporting. I would love to hear more about this as it’s very unusual. Site Kit only places code snippets in the front end of your website, it shouldn’t have any impact for end users or for site owners using WooCommerce.

    If you want to share your Site Health information or alternatively the plugins you are using I would be happy to recreate a setup similar to your own, to try and troubleshoot further. We can then hopefully get Site Kit up and running for your own site, along with troubleshooting any possible compatibility issues with WooCommerce.
