    Hi,
Please scroll down the page and click on one of the last pictures. It takes you up the page. It used to be an option to select in the Settings to stop this but can’t find it anymore on the new version. Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi @jhatcher12

This behavior that you see happening on your gallery pages when they are opened using FooBox is caused by third-party Javascript scripts from other plugins.

Any clicks on links, images etc. in FooBox now have preventDefault within the click handler to prevent it from doing that automatically. Most of the time the issue stems from third-party tracking scripts that “re-raise” the click after recording it but do not call the preventDefault

The other main culprit, which is also a third-party Javascript script and I suspect is causing this on your site, is the “smooth-scrolling” scripts. The functionality of these scripts is that when a click on a link or image occurs these scripts attempt to smooth scroll, but when it can’t find what it wants, it scrolls to the top.

Looking at the plugins that you have, I can see you have the Mousewheel Smooth Scroll plugin. Kindly disable that then reload the page with the gallery and see if this issue still persists. If you have any smooth scroll functionality on any plugin or theme, kindly disable those options then reload the gallery page.

    Thanks.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.

    Hey Elvis,
Thanks for getting back. I tried disabling the plugin you asked for, no result. Still jumps up. I remember on the previous version of the plugin there was an option in Advanced tab for ie support. I used to uncheck that to work things out. Doesn’t matter what other plugins I had installed in there. The option is not there anymore. Please advise.

    Hi @jhatcher12

Thanks for getting back to us with the feedback.

If it’s not that particular plugin, then the issue is coming from the theme files, to be more specific, a conflict with the theme’s styling is most likely causing this. This can occur when FooBox applies the fbx-no-scroll class to the html element when the modal is opened. Something in the theme’s CSS doesn’t like it and collapses the page back to the top.

To test this, you can simply switch the active theme you are using to a different theme or one of the default WordPress themes and this issue will most likely not be occurring.

While having the currently active theme, try disabling the option to hide scroll bars and test it. You can get this option by navigating to FooBox -> Settings -> General Tab and scrolling down to “Hide Page Scrollbars”

    Thanks.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.
