Hi Byoung,
Thanks for the bug report and screenshot! I’ll certainly have a look and get back to you on that.
Sincerely,
MarcoHi Byoung,
Thanks for your patience.
I’ve just released an update (v1.1.0) whose automatic cleaning should be far more robust. I would kindly request that you update to it. If still you encounter issues with automatic cleaning, please let me know. Thanks!
Sincerely,
MarcoDear Marco,
I have had the version of v1.1.0.
When I clear actions table and logs table manually on WS AS Cleaner menu, it works.
However, as I told you before, scheduing daily clearing of those doesn’t work.I did a little investigation on Cron Events screen, and found that these hooks of wsacsc_cleanup_logs with the action of WSACSC_Cleanup::cleanup_logs() and wsacsc_cleanup_actions with action of WSACSC_Cleanup::cleanup_actions() do not respond to Run now, and of course they are set to work daily.
Please advise.
Thank you, and all the best,
Byoung,

Dear Marco,
I am not sure if this screen capture below might be of help to you.

They’re the failed scheduled actions.
Thanks, and all the best.
Byoung,
Hi Byoung,
Thanks for getting back to me on this issue and testing further. I did thoroughly test the scheduled cleanup before release of v1.1.0 and seemed to have no issues; I also used WP Crontrol for testing immediate execution through Run Now, for example, and it responded reliably.
I’ll have another look. Thanks!
Sincerely,
MarcoHi Byoung,
I’ve released another update. It should hopefully make things both clearer and work better. Please let me know if it’s helpful to you at all.
Sincerely,
MarcoDear Marco,
I truly appreciate your kind support and help.
The reason why I was delaying my reply to your help is that I wanted to make sure that your plugin works fine.
I installed on my website, https://saahm.net/ and I’ve been monitoring the scheduled actions and crons. Two days ago, I found there were no crons of these hooks of wsacsc_cleanup_logs with the action of WSACSC_Cleanup::cleanup_logs() and wsacsc_cleanup_actions with action of WSACSC_Cleanup::cleanup_actions() were created.
Today, I disabled and reactivated the plugin. The reactivation created two crons of them but they were showing the frequency of monthly instead of my settings of once over two days. I changed the cron frequency two times only to fail. The third one made those crons disappeared.
When I go to the settings screen of WS Action Scheduler Cleaner, settings of Cleanup Schedule: and Schedule Time are empty, and Retention Period becomes 1 days for both. When I set them daily at 2:00 PM and go back to cron screen, the crons of them get disappeared.Manual clearing actions for both actions table and log table works though.
I guess my datatable got garbled.
Please advise.
Thank you again, and all the best.
I just looked at the other website I manage, https://ochim.com/ and learned that the symptoms at https://saahm.net/, which is described in my previous comment is happening exactly at https://ochim.com.
Just FYI,
All the best.
Hi Byoung,
Thank you for you continued patience and detailed reporting. The best you could probably do is uninstall and reinstall the plugin. I’ve released a patch to deal with some edge cases and hopefully it will be helpful to your situation as well.
Sincerely,
MarcoChiming in, the new update simply doesn’t manual clear anymore.
However as above, the schedule clean isn’t working either.
Clean schedule doesn’t save to the database either.Hi Vincent,
Thanks for chiming in. I’m having a tough time reproducing these issues, but I’m trying to find out what could go wrong. I apologise for the inconvenience, but in the meantime, the best advice I can give is to fully uninstall and reinstall the plugin.
If you want, you could use https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/ to send me an admin login URL to support@winning-solutions.de. That way, I’d be able to debug the issue directly.
Sincerely,
MarcoPartially found the issue, when it’s doing it’s clear, it’ll clear around 100,000 rows, and won’t proceed to batch till it’s completely cleared. On this particular store, 1,000,000+ rows get produced a day, and thet plugin will not completely clear it unless you keep manually clearing.
Thank you very much.
All the best, and Happy New Year.
