Thanks for getting in touch @farmakomitis. Based on this error you’re encountering, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Did this appear for you today, without having made any changes within Site Kit? Alternatively, do you recall having made any changes within Site Kit before this error appears?

Note also that you may be able to proceed with the Site Kit dashboard loading as expected if you disconnect your Google account from the plugin and connect once more. Please give this a try, and let me know how it goes.

Many thanks for sharing @farmakomitis. And great question regarding the best way to connect Analytics on your site. The most straightforward and safe method is to allow Site Kit to place the snippet for you. By doing so, theme updates won’t overwrite any manual insertion, and you don’t have to edit any code.

I can also see you have the Analytics snippet placed via Site Kit, from reviewing your Site Health information. See below:
    analytics_4_use_snippet: yes

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

So I don’t need the extra plugins for this? that place G-********* ?

For example do I need both Google Analytics for WooCommerce by Woocommerce + Site Kit by Google?

    Do they conflict?

I mean if someone visits a page will I see at the analytics that the page has opened 2 times?

    Thanks for the update @farmakomitis.

So I don’t need the extra plugins for this? that place G-********* ?

No, you don’t. Site Kit will connect your site with your GA4 property ID (which has the G- prefix as you highlighted above. This is typically added to a users site via a Google tag ID, as per this guide.

For example do I need both Google Analytics for WooCommerce by Woocommerce + Site Kit by Google?

You can use both plugins if you wish, but if you’re using the same GA4 property, I wouldn’t advise having it added twice. If you do decide to use both Site Kit and a WooCommerce Analytics plugin – which may be useful to provide WooCommerce features that are not part of Site Kit, I would suggest that you select the option for Site Kit to not place your GA4 snippet via the settings. Doing so means Site Kit remains connected with Google Analytics, but it’s not adding a snippet already added via another plugin.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

    Thanks for the update @farmakomitis.

You can do the opposite, and activate your WooCommerce Analytics snippet, while selecting the option within Site Kit to not allow the plugin to insert it’s own Analytics snippet via the Site Kit settings.

Same issue goes for google ads

You can set up Google Ads within Site Kit, regardless of whether you have Analytics added via the plugin. If you encounter any problems within Site Kit specific to Google Ads, let me know.

    Hi @jamesosborne ,

For some reason the purchases are not diplayed at GA4, for the day I changed the plugin and activated only sitekit. The conversation at google ads seems to working correctly, but I cannot see purchases at GA4.

Can you help me debug it?

    Kind regards,

    George

    Hi @farmakomitis,

When you mention you’re “not seeing purchases at GA4”, did you install your WooCommerce Analytics plugin once more. I believe this plugin will show you further details on purchases? Alternatively, if you’re referring to conversion tracking within Site Kit and not seeing data from GA4, please share a screenshot of any graph of what you’re viewing from the GA4 dashboard at analytics.google.com.
