Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we completely understand your frustration and appreciate the chance to clarify.
About a year and a half ago, we made the decision to move the Lightbox feature to the PRO version of the plugin. This change was carefully communicated across multiple channels, including plugin updates, our website, and newsletters. To make the transition easier, we also offered — and continue to offer — a 50% discount on the PRO upgrade.
That said, we want to reassure you that we did not remove this functionality from existing versions of the plugin. If you continue using the older version you had previously installed, the Lightbox feature will still work as it did before. However, please note that older versions no longer receive security or compatibility updates, which could become an issue over time.
We understand that changes like this can be inconvenient, especially when revisiting older projects. The core gallery functionality remains fully available in the free version — only the Lightbox effect is now exclusive to PRO.
If you’d like to regain access to Lightbox while keeping your plugin up to date, we’d be happy to offer you the 50% discount again.
