    Hi

I have installed this plugin, and it looks fab. It works very well, I have created one ticker and four ticks inside using WYSIWYG. The first time it shows everything, I update, the information is displayed on my website.

However, when I go back to the dashboard to edit the ticks, some show the text and others do not. I can highlight the “missing” text and it shows in the “text” tab, but I cannot access the “Visual tab”. Nothing happens. Two ticks are displayed properly in the “Visual tab”, and the other two seem empty, but if I highlight them I can see the text. But only in “Text” tab, not “Visual” tab.

I would really like to use this plugin using the WYSIWYG feature.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Please let me know if you have seen this issue elsewhere or is it related to my set up.
May be a conflict with another plugin? * UPDATED: tested on a brand new site, with only 4 plugins not related to editing and same problem appears after adding a third ticker *

Please note that I have tried on various browsers and the issue is reproduced each time (Firefox, IE, Chrome).

    Thanks in advance

Does the issue resolve itself after you save the ticker? Or does it still persist?

    Hi

Thanks for looking into this. Saving the ticker does not solve the problem.

I’ve done some testing, but the visual editor is a tricky beast when loading on the fly.

I believe I have found that as long as you have the editor set to Visual mode when duplicating everything seems to be fine. For some reason you just can’t switch to HTML then back to Visual afterwards. If you duplicate in Visual mode, then save your post, then you can switch back and forth with the newly created ticks.

    Hi

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I have created a brand new News Ticker, typed the first Tick in Visual editor mode, then added another one and typed the content of this new one. I then saved. After saving, the second Tick did not show anything. When highlighting the text, it then shows (as if the text was written in white on white background) as HTML code (even if I am on the “Visual” tab.
I never in the process went back and forth to HTML editing. Just to clarify: I never clicked on the “Text” tab. Always stayed on “Visual” tab….

    Could you reproduce this issue?

    Thank you.

Ok, thanks for the info. Could you run this test one more time, but first disable all other plugins and switch to a default theme like twentysixteen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentysixteen/?

From my tests I wasn’t having any issues when staying in Visual mode, so I just want to make sure there isn’t a conflict arising from either your theme or another plugin on your site.

    Thanks!

Ok thanks, I will try. Please do not close this ticket as I will need a bit of time as busy with something else just now.
