# Issues with uploading CSV.

 * Hey guys!
 * I am having issues with uploading CSV file to Woocommerce for my products.
 * Specifically, Most fields like Name, Categories, Images are importing fine from
   CSV to Woocommerce.
 * However, these 2 fields are not uploading correctly – product_url and button_text.
 * When using the Woocommerce uploader I map all the fields. However, these fields
   are blank upon looking at the product.
 * Any ideas?

 * Hi [@hattrick90](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hattrick90/). Are you using
   the built-in CSV Importer? If so, you’ll want to use `External URL` and `Button
   text` for the column names, as shown in our sample CSV [here](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/sample-data/sample_products.csv).
   These columns are only relevant for products with the `Type` of `external`. If
   these products do have the external type and are still not working, can you upload
   a copy of the import file to something like Google Docs and share the link so
   that we can take a look? Thanks!

   Using `type`and `external`fixed the problem.
 * But it doesn’t cover this in Woocommerce product header page?

 * You’re right [@hattrick90](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hattrick90/), 
   that area of the documentation could definitely be improved. I reached out to
   our docs team about this after your initial message to get those columns added
   to the [schema](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Product-CSV-Import-Schema#csv-columns-and-formatting)(
   they were previously absent), and it looks like they did add them, but it would
   help to clarify that they are only relevant for a specific product type. I’ve
   sent in a new request for that. Thanks for the feedback!

   to go ahead and mark this thread resolved. The documentation hasn’t been changed
   yet, but the request has been passed on to our docs team, so I don’t think there’s
   anything more that can be done about it at the moment. Feel free to open a new
   thread if you have any further questions!
