Support » Fixing WordPress » Issues with the More Tag

  • Hi all. 🙂

I had a question for you guys:

I am using the ‘more’ tag at the beginning of each blog post so that it displays on my home page like this: Here

However, when I try to use the more tag again in a post, it doesn’t work. I’m sure there’s a better way to do it… I’m just not sure what it is!

Basically, I want the home page to display the post title and date (as it is in the image above) along side the ‘more’ button, which re-directs to the remainder of the post.

On other pages of the site (categories, etc.) I want the blogs to display the content before the more tag, then have the jump work properly. Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

    Thanks! 🙂

the home page to display the post title and date (as it is in the image above) along side the ‘more’ button, which re-directs to the remainder of the post.

you probably need to edit the loop in index.php(?) and change it to do so; and add the link after the title and date to look like the ‘more’ button.

only the first ‘more tag’ in the content will be used fro the ‘read more’.
