Is it possible to filter products with multiple categories? For example, I want to show products with “Category A” and “Category B”, or search for products with either “Category C” or “Category D”. The current filter only shows the main categories and it’ll replace the search term whenever I click a different category and it doesn’t show the sub categories of the ones I clicked. Is it possible to be done without requiring another filter plugin? I’ve tried a few filter plugins but it kept having issues with the Pro modules of Dokan.

  • Hello @rapidcoder ,

Are you using the filter on the product page?

WooCommerce supported filter plugins should work here. I just tried this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-products-filter/ & it worked to filter multiple categories at once – https://prnt.sc/vgzw2e

    Thank you 🙂

Hello and thanks for the response.

It’s the same plugin that I’m using right now but it caused conflicts with Dokan’s Geolocation filter. It’s good, but I need an alternative filter because of the issue.

    Hello @rapidcoder ,

It looks like you are unable to use both Geolocation & the other plugin filter together. You may have to go for customization to make it both working together. Otherwise, you can submit a feature request here – https://wedevs.com/account/dokan-feature-requests/.

I am also keeping this note for future requests.

    Thank you 🙂

Sorry for the late response, will do that later once I’ve got some time.

I ended up using the WOOF for the filter, but the numbers on the map aren’t showing correctly while the number of products in the actual list are correct. Can you help point me in the right direction for the customization? This is kind of urgent now.

Sorry for the double post, but I’ve managed to resolve the issue, which is the duplicated products in the map. I needed to modify the javascript code to filter out the dupes, but since the geolocation isn’t a free module, I don’t think I can share the solution code. I’ve added a feature request for a Dokan specific product filter that’s not limited to product categories only.

    Hello @rapidcoder ,

That’s awesome to know you have figured it out already.

Yes, please do share your experience with the feature request & hopefully our developers will consider this in the future.

    Thank you 🙂
