    I tried to install plugin in network plugins admin and then I undid this and installed it in the main site of the multisite installation. No matter how I do it, when ever I go to the events url, I get a 404 error. IN the admin, the setting indicate it is installed (I am even able to create events, etc), but it’s not showing up on frontend. Thank you for any suggestions.

    Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme? Have you also tried visiting Settings > Permalinks (you don’t need to save anything, just visiting this page “flushes” the permalink table)? Thanks!
