Hi @totallydubbed,
Please try deactivate and activate the plugin once and also make sure to clear server-side cache, if any.
Hi
I am also experiencing the same issue after the latest update.
I have deactivated and activated the plugin and cleared the server-side cache but the issue persists.
I have this message in Console…
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token o in JSON at position 1
Thanks
Hi @ddsinternational,
Can you please share the site URL so that we can have a look?
Hi @webtoffee
I have sent a message via your website.
Thanks

That hasn’t resolved the issue – only deactivating the plugin seems to work.
I’d appreciate if you could help @webtoffee
I am also experiencing the same issue after the latest update.
Hi @milonet,
Apologies for the inconvenience caused. We have analyzed the issue and we can confirm that this is a caching issue. Due to an update in the plugin JSON.parse
is not required and has been removed in the latest update. The error occurs when the site tried to load minified files from the old cache.
Kindly purge the cache and minified JS file from site level and server-side too, if any. Then check the site after doing a hard refresh or via incognito browser mode.
@totallydubbed,
To ensure the cache clear has reflected, please check /wp-content/plugins/cookie-law-info/public/js/cookie-law-info-public.js in the file manager and in the page source after visiting the site are same.

@webtoffee sorry I’m not sure why I’d need to do this or what I’m checking for?
Where can I get the older variant of the plugin until this is fixed globally?
Alternatively, can you provide me with an email so that we can chat?
Hi @totallydubbed,
You can contact us directly via this link.
Older version can be downloaded from here.
@webtoffee
Thanks for your help. I can now confirm that the website is working correctly. I had to clear my browser cache for the site to start working again.
Great. Leave us a review if you like the plugin.

Hi there,
Thanks again for helping me @webtoffee !
I can confirm I no longer have the issue on the latest version.
What was done: plugin was updated, all cache was purged (W3 cache), and then Command/Ctrl+Shift+R had to be done in order for me to see the page with working images.
Hope this helps anyone who is stuck with the same issue π
Hi all,
Hope everything is working well now. If you like our plugin, please leave us a review here.
