Issues with Font Size and Header

WP Version 3.6

I am new to WP and would kindly like your help.

Had problems with submenu hiding behind slider. I cleared IE9 browser and submenu works now font size of tagline and navigation menu has changed.

I make changes in child theme but it doesn’t work. Please help!

How do I position images in header so donate button and search box lines up with the logo (too much empty space in header)?
