    Hi guys,
    I’ve been using WP Optimize on many websites with Divi and there’s been no issues. After the last update though, with cache in your settings enabled, I can’t save updates on pages, installing plugins is throwing errors, lots of issues. Happening on many websites, and all works fine again with wp optimize disabled. Would you be aware of this issue or any ideas how to solve this? Any insights hugely appreciated!
    Many thanks!

  • Hi there,

    We haven’t had any issue with Divi (we use Divi on our own sites).

    After the last update though

    Was it an update of WP-Optimize of Divi?

    installing plugins is throwing errors, lots of issues

    Would you be able to share the errors and issues?

    Thanks,
    Marc.

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
    It’s the latest Divi version. On few different sites, works fine when I switch off wp optimizer. Maybe something wrong with how I have the plugin configured – anything to watch out possibly?
    With the issues – so when I use the visual editor, edit text on a page for example and go to save the page, I just the notification pop up saying something went wrong saving the page. It seems to work once I’ve hit the ‘try again’ button, but the changes were not saved when I exited the visual editor.
    I had to deactivate another plugin and activated it again – got a weird notification saying plugin couldn’t be activated and caused fatal error – although once I reloaded the page all was absolutely fine and all the plugins were active and behaving correctly.
    Happened with few different plugins actually so can’t be one offender there.
    Like I say, it might be me and the set up on my site, but just baffled why it stopped working all of a sudden, worked like a treat before 🙁

    You say

    when I switch off wp optimizer

    Confirm that you mean WP-Optimize? Otherwise this is the wrong place 🙂

    Most of the errors you mentioned should be logged in detail in the PHP error log. Do you have access to them, and could you share them?

    You can share them if they do not contain anything sensitive. Otherwise ZIP them and send them on this form: https://getwpo.com/ask-pre-sales-question/

    They will help troubleshooting the actual issue.

    Marc

    Same here 😭😭😭

    Also having issues with DIVI, no idea if it just the latest version though, as only just installed the plugin a few days ago.
    With the plugin enabled, content just vanishes when I am logged into WP, it is there in the visual builder, but not visible otherwise.

    Also wp_feedback is not working with this plugin either.

    @limoncetti @lordsnake Could you check your PHP error log to see if there are any errors?

    @lordsnake Would you mind opening an other issue with “Also wp_feedback is not working with this plugin either.” with details about what isn’t working?

    Thanks.
    Marc.

    this is on shared hosting, so I do not have access to php logs

    Sorry, I had to install another cache plugin and I miss wp optimize, it was much more powerful. I couldn’t edit the posts, they didn’t update. Divi also has problems with wordfence plugin

    But I’m going to try to see the mistakes. One minute

    /wp-optimize/cache/file-based-page-cache-functions.php on line 482

    Also errors with the EU cookie law plugin

    Ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons

    Yup, it’s the latest divi update – everything worked perfect until then.
    These are some of the errors I can see in the logs – no idea if this might be related, but just in case:
    ap_content_length_filter: apr_bucket_read() failed
    ap_pass_brigade failed with error 70007: The timeout specified has expired
    Script timed out before returning headers: php-cgi, referer: http://www…/wp-admin/plugins.php
    [error] PHP Warning: Declaration of ET_Core_LIB_SilentThemeUpgraderSkin::feedback($string) should be compatible with WP_Upgrader_Skin::feedback($string, …$args) in /var/www/vhosts/…/content/themes/Divi/core/components/lib/SilentThemeUpgraderSkin.php on line 12

    Really appreciate you responding to this! The app worked just super till now so I’d love to figure it out somehow 🙁

    I updated wp and Divi at the same time. … In my hosting there is a banner “do not update wordpress if you are not an expert” seriously?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the various informations.
    There aren’t any relevant errors, only various warnings.

    Can you also check for errors in the browser console when encountering the issue?

    I’m still not able to replicate any issue, so any extra information is welcome.

    @lordsnake If you don’t have access to the error logs from your host, you can enable debugging mode, by adding the following lines to wp-config.php just before where it says: /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, false );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );

    A debug.log file should be created inside wp-content folder,which should contain error information in it, Please share the file with us.

    I tried this, but no debug.log was created
