Title: Issues with comment importing Last modified: August 21, 2016 --- # Issues with comment importing * [JK](https://wordpress.org/support/users/justin_k/) * (@justin_k) * [13 years ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/issues-with-comment-importing/) * Now that the basics of pushing posts to Facebook seem to be mostly working, I’m finally trying to re-enable comment processing. Unfortunately, I’m hitting many problems in this regard as well… :/ * First, after enabling the option (to pull comments), the next time I visited the Wordbooker settings page it took over 5 minutes to execute (server time, not slow internet connection). During this time my whole site was locked up, until the server ultimately killed the process. This only happened once so far, hasn’t happened again. * Next, I set “Process Comments” to every 15 minutes. I waited 15 minutes, periodically checking the panel and watching it count down. When it reached 0, rather than resetting the “Next Scheduled Fetch is in” to 15m, it wrapped to 24h: [http://screencast.com/t/uER4fDlEsKCd](http://screencast.com/t/uER4fDlEsKCd) * Finally – it never imported the expected comments. I verified that the post ( which had been pushed by wordbooker) had its “pull comments from facebook for this post” checkbox checked, but the comments never came through (at the time that the “next scheduled fetch” wrapped from 0 back to 24). Comments are pulled on a cron schedule so it should happen in the back ground. * Sometimes it shows 24 when it means zero (i.e. its currently running). Not sure why getting the next execution time from the WP cron controls shows that. * You should get some comment diagnostics for each comment run – you’ve included one showing that its found posts to check but not what its actually doing with them. * How long do you keep posts open for comments? The problem is that I can’t see why this is happening – messages are missing which implies things aren’t happening when they should. Did you check that the comment handling was set on the post itself?
