Support » Fixing WordPress » Issues Porting a WP install from Linux to a Windows Server

  • Good morning everyone! I’m Kelley… a web designer and front end developer out of Atlanta, Georgia. Though I’ve been a member of the WP community for 8 years, this is my first post for support…. so please be gentle. 😀

    Current Problem
We have a dev site here http://acvb.inwardsolutions.com/ (Linux server) when you select the “where to stay” or the other two semi-CTAs, it loads as expected. However, when you select the same on the Windows server – http://awesomealpharetta.com/wordpress/ – it says page cant be found.

    What We’ve Done Thus Far
We’ve tried to reset the permalinks, modifed the .htaccess file, checked the wp-config file and made sure that the “site_url_ and “home” options within the wp_options table reflect the new host. Three devs have tried to resolve this and simply are stumped. Caveat: the project was initially installed on a subdomain but was moved to a subdirectory AND then to a subdomain in an attempt to resolve the problem.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, how did you solve it?
