• Hey!

I am using the Twenty Ten Theme and have modified by following the guide on andydickinson.net. Now I’m having some issues that I can’t seem to get around. Maybe you guys can help me.

I’ve tried a couple of soultions I found on the forum but it didn’t work.

First. This is the site I’m working on:

    http://www.nflsupporter.se

Here’s the things I want to fix:

    * I want the posts on the first page to have a line beneath the title that shows the date they were published. Exactly like the one you can see when you click any of the posts and see the whole text.

    * I want a horizontal line/border that separates the different posts on the first page. I tried adding a border using .hentry but it only worked in “single post”-view.

*I would also want the header to be a link to the start page.

I’m not that experienced so please keep it simple!

    Thanks!

  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

    If I do.

What do I need to to do if I want to accomplish the customizations above?

Once you have a child theme on your site that we can see, try asking about each of these individually. They will all involve CSS editing and may involve some template editing as well

One thing I don’t get though. Many of the changes I have made are to the index.php file, I cannot have a child that inherit the index.php file? Or can I?

    EDIT:

If I want to add a horizental line between my posts and add the date and time they were published, what do I need to do?
