    Hi,
I am having an issue with one of my server’s connection to the core updates.
When I run wget -dv https://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
    I get this output

Obviously downloading at 12KB/s is the issue. My other servers are more like 4MB/s.

Can anyone give some advice on how I can resolve this?

    Thanks

What do you see if you do a traceroute for 66.155.40.250

    root@vultr:~# traceroute 66.155.40.250
traceroute to 66.155.40.250 (66.155.40.250), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets

Hmmm… things are a bit slow across the Pacific. It’s probably one of those things that will clear up on its own.

    Hi Steve,
The strange thing is all my other AU servers at the same data center have not skipped a beat.
It does seem to be specific to this server only.
I have talked to the sys admin and they have said everything is fine on the server apart from downloading from that ip.

Is there a way to whitelist or clear my ip to see if that was the issue?
This has been going on for more than a week.

    Thanks again
    Nik

Today this seems to be resolved.
Nothing changed our end so I assume it was something that cleared itself up as Steve suggested.

    Cheers
    Nik
