Hello, I just updated NextScripts to 3.6.3 and it is causing a causing a couple issues my theme/child theme (classipress). I have a featured ad slider in my header that wont work after the update (wont display images or slide) and it also expands all my categories (my main categories display near the top of my page but are not supposed to expand to show sub-cateogories unless the + is clicked). It also might be preventing a location select popup from working when clicked. Any idea why this plugin would be cuasing conflict with thess php files?

  • Hello websitemr,
if you go to Wordfence “Firewall” page and set the Firewall to “Learning mode” does the issue persist?

Hello. Thank you very much for your prompt support.

Yes this did indeed fix the issues. I have yet to optimize my firewall settings. Do you think doing so might with the Firewall enabled might also fix the issues?

    Hello!
What was happening was that the Firewall had not “learned” that the actions your site was trying to perform were safe and should be allowed. So the Firewall was blocking them, resulting in those issues. If you keep the Firewall in “Learning mode” for a while those actions that were blocked will be whitelisted. You can see whitelisted actions at the bottom of the Firewall page. When all necessary actions have been whitelisted you can set the Firewall to “Enabled” again. You can always swap back to “Learning” temporarily if you get more issues later.

Optimizing the Firewall will make it load in a different way, more specifically it will make it load before any other code loads on your server. This makes it possible for the Firewall to intercept attacks at an earlier stage. If you want the most efficient protection you should optimize the Firewall.
