    Important Public Announcement

Before v4.3.7 at the time of setting up the account if you had selected Access Token as the Authentication Mode, we used to ask for only 2 things:

    • Cloudflare API Token
    • Cloudflare Domain Name

But from v4.3.7 we will also ask for the Cloudflare e-mail. The reason behind that is the update in Cloudflare API that is provided by Cloudflare.

Earlier Cloudflare had an API which allowed us to upload Workers to a Zone with just the details we asked from you when you have selected the Access Token as Authentication Mode.

But Cloudflare has deprecated that API and now make Worker uploads at the account level. So, if the plugin doesn’t know your Cloudflare email, it cannot upload the worker at the account level.

Take a look at this deprecated API docs which we cannot use anymore and have to shift to use this new updated API doc.

    Q. What happens if I’m already using the Access Token Authentication Mode without entering the Cloudflare Email?
    – If the email is not provided, the first account returned back from Cloudflare is used. This works well for users that manage only 1 account from the same Cloudflare interface (standard use). But we highly recommend providing your Cloudflare account email id in the General tab, if you are using the Access Token Authentication Mode to ensure you don’t face any issues.
