    After going through the payment process on the checkout page, Woocommerce normally displays a thank you message.
    When the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin is active, however, the thank you message is not shown. Instead, the message “your cart is empty” is shown. Very confusing for customers!
    I’m using the latest versions of Woocommerce (2.3.5) and Yoast (1.7.4).

    My guess is that it has something to do with the checkout endpoints Woocommerce adds to the URL to keep track of the status changes (like add “order received” to the URL). These status changes are not appended to the URL when Yoast SEO is active.

    Anyone have a clue what is going wrong here?

  • @ispacecrusader I’ve seen this error when I go through the checkout with an Admin user. I don’t think it is related to WordPress SEO.

    @katherine Semel-Munson,
    thank you for the advice! I tried with an order with a guest account, but the result is the same…
    I’m not saying it’s a WordPress SEO by Yoast issue, but it seems certain to me that it is an issue between that plugin and the WooCommerce plugin.

    I tested by disabling all other plugins, and activating one at a time, and it works fine until I activate WordPress SEO.

    Does anyone have any other ideas?

    This is definetely related to the plugin. I had the same issue and once I deactivted the plugin, the thank you message of woocommerce was showing fine.

    Yoast could you please shed some light??

    Any news on this?

    No news yet. Today I re-posted my question to Yoast support, let’s hope they are willing to help. I will post here if there are any updates.
