The general Email function is working fine on the new version (I have tested it before and after the update myself). This will have to be some kind of site specific issue.
Enable the debug logging feature then do a test so you can see if there is something else failing or preventing all the post payment processing from happening:

The debug log shows no failure message. Nevertheless the notification email sent to the buyer is mentionned as follows :
[11/22/2020 12:31:03 AM] - Notification email sent to buyer: , from email address used: Oxatest <webadmin@mysite.eu>
The email address of the buyer appears to be empty! Quite strange!
Do you need a shareable link to the debug log?
I was unable to reproduce the issue as well.
Try to clean caching plugins cache (if you’re using any on your site).
Are you using any Stripe Payments add-ons?

I think, I’ve found the reason why it doesn’t work.
In the settings of the plugin I wasn’t saving card data on stripe (the corresponding checkbox “Do not save card data on Stripe” was checked).
In version 2.0.37 this didn’t prevent the plugin from working perfectly. But in version 2.0.38 it does! This checkbox must remain unchecked.
Perhaps this setting isn’t necessary anymore. Is it?
Anyway, I would like to thank both of you, @mra13 and @alexanderfoxc, for having looked at my problem so quickly. I appreciate.
Thank you. This looks like a bug. We will look into this.
Thank you for your report.
This is fixed in current testing version (2.0.39t1). You can get it by going to Stripe Payments -> Settings, right hand column.

I do confirm. It works in version 2.0.39t1. Thanks a lot.
I’m looking forward to getting version 2.0.39 very soon!
Hello,
Same issue here, I lost the emails of the buyers, please update as soon as possible the plugin, thanks.

You can probably retrieve the emails of your buyers in your account on the Stripe website. This is what I did.
I’m sure the fixed version will come very soon. In the meantime we’ll stay with version 2.0.37.
in my stripe dashboard the customer appears the name, and the Email appears as NULL π

If you checked the plugin setting “Send email from Stripe”, ie if you asked Stripe for sending a receipt to your customers, the emails of your customers must appear in your Stripe account under “Receipt history”.
@erpiu , thank you for testing and confirming!
@deambulando , feel free to install testing version that fixes the issue. The only difference between current stable version 2.0.38 and testing version 2.0.39t1 is the fix applied for this issue, so it should be totally safe to use it.
We will try to release new version as soon as possible, but it could take couple of days or more.
thanks I have disabled the box “Do not save card data on Stripe” and now works π
Lost 2 emails from sales :S and I can not contact the customer π
