When I activate the “Use Tutor Player for YouTube” option in the video settings, the video player does not work properly on mobile devices. Specifically, when I try to expand the video to full screen, it does not cover the entire screen as expected. Instead, the video is still shown within a limited area and does not provide a true full-screen experience.

If I deactivate the “Use Tutor Player for YouTube” option, the YouTube player works correctly and the full-screen option covers the entire screen as it should.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Go to Tutor LMS video settings and enable “Use Tutor Player for YouTube”.
    2. Open a course lesson with a YouTube video on a mobile device.
    3. Try to expand the video to full screen.
    4. Notice that the video does not fully expand to cover the whole screen.

When the option is disabled, full-screen mode works as expected.

  • Hey @agugentile ,

This is expected behavior when using the Tutor Player for YouTube. To view the video in full screen, please ensure screen rotation is enabled on your mobile device. Rotating the screen to landscape mode should give you a better viewing experience.

    Thank you.

Hi, thanks for your replay. Still not working as expected while rotating, the video does not cover the whole mobile screen.

    Hey @agugentile ,

Please keep in mind that Tutor LMS video player, plays videos in a fixed 16:9 aspect ratio. On certain mobile screens, especially those with different aspect ratios, the video may not fully cover the entire screen even in landscape mode. This is expected behavior and ensures consistent playback across devices.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

I think it would be a great if the player covers the whole screen like most of video players do that. Like Youtube video player, full screen covers everything providing a better user experience
