Issue with the DropCap Shortcode

    Hi Alex,

    When i make use of the dropcap ( [dropcap][/dropcap] ) feature in my blog post, the character appears perfectly on a single post page, but when i see the excerpt of the post on the main page, the character enclosed with dropcap simply disappears and it starts from the next non-dropcap letter.

    How should i solve this problem?

    Hi there! Someone posted a code here on the support forums where the dropcap was fixed, however I’m unable to find it currently.

    There is another way to fix it though – if you go to edit a post, click the “Screen Options” dropdown top right. Then enable the “Excerpt” box. Now a new box will appear below the main text field. There you can paste your custom excerpt, including the first character.
