    Hi there,

I’m creating a movie list with Tablepress. Really love the way it works. But I only have one issue and I can’t find a way to fix it. I already turned off caching plugins and minify plugins but also that isn’t a solution.

Users with the browser Safari aren’t able to scroll on the table. How can I fix this? Google Chrome and Firefox are working fine.

I have the last plugin. If you nee more information please let me know.

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

That’s indeed rather strange. Unfortunately, I have no real idea why Safari behaves like this… It could be that your theme is somehow interfering here. Can you therefore please test with a WordPress default theme?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi TobiasBG,

I did a check but the default theme Twenty Twenty (version 1.1) gives the same issue. I can’t scroll horizontal. Also I don’t see error codes in the developers view on macOS.

    Hi,

thanks for testing! Unfortunately, I still don’t see a reason 🙁 Can you maybe also check with all other plugins deactivated?
Is the demo of the scroll mode (https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/) working for you in Safari (it is for me)?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

I didn’t try to deactivate all other plugins. O’Neill test it and come back later.

Your examples are working for me in safari.

    Hi Tom,

thanks for confirming that the TablePress site’s demo works. This indicates that something on your site is interfering here. Please let me know what further testing, without the other plugins, finds.

    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I took a bit longer then I though. But I just disabled the other plugins and used a incognito window. But the table is still not responsive.

If you have any other suggestion let me know. I just turned to plugins back on again to keep my site performance high.

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

I’m really sorry, but I’m of out ideas here 🙁

I haven’t received any similar reports before, so that I can only assume that it’s something special with your site.

    Tobias

    Hi Muhammad,

Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Hi,

part of the problem might be that the table use the “Use DataTables” checkbox checked while also having combined/merged cells. This is not compatible, unfortunately. Please try again after unchecking the “Use DataTables” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

that’s strange again. It’s working in Chrome, but not Safari, for me, too. 🙁
Sorry, unfortunately, I don’t know why this is the case.

    Regards,
    Tobias
