# Issue with Sorting

 * I apologize… the site I’m working on isnt live so I have this in my hosts file:
   166.62.92.101 deankarlan.com [http://www.deankarlan.com](http://www.deankarlan.com)

 * The sort doesnt seem to work, I read over the faq, and I do see jquery 1.2x instead
   of the latest being loaded, but I cant figure out how to disable that? I deleted
   the file int he filesystem, and then loaded up another migratej plugin, but that
   didn’t work either.
    I saw another thread you were talking about extra spaces
   in the data… I checked and mine doesn’t have it. When I do a sort, all fields
   are still shown.

 * thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
 * I checked your page, but can’t reproduce this issue. The sorting (and the ColumnFilterWidgets
   Extension) are working fine for me.
 * (Now, there is the issue that the date column is sorting in the wrong order, 
   but that’s because you are using a different date format. To have that sorted
   correctly, you will also need the TablePress Extension from [https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/](https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-sorting-plugins/)

 * I’m not sure what fixed it… perhaps I was at PHP 7 and changing back to 5.x?
 * Either way, I SUPER appreciate you went the extra mile to add the domain to your
   hosts file to take a look at my issue.
