  • Hi,

While we are not familiar with Seranking we are happy to take a look. We are not sure what URLs are being referenced. We would like some more information.

    1. The issue is that SERanking is finding URLs that you are not expecting?

    2. If so, can you provide examples of URLs that are getting flagged?

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    4. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    5. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v14.9? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    3. Yes, everything is updated
    4. 5.5.1
    5. I’ve waited for your next release 14.9, updated, still have the problem.

    Hi,

We can see those pages all show a 404 error. See image: https://pasteboard.co/Js8pcZD.png. Note that those pages are not expected to appear in Google as Yoast outputs a noindex tag on them. 404 errors are a natural part of the web as content is created and destroyed. This guide explains more: https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2011/05/do-404s-hurt-my-site.html.

Instead what is most likely is happening is that another theme or plugin is creating those urls, which SERanking then finds, sees that nothing is on them and reports it to you. To resolve the issue we suggest the following:

    A. Speak to your theme or plugin developers for more information as to what may be creating those urls.

    B. Consider making a redirect for it. Yoast SEO Premium offers a redirection manager which can redirect those URLs. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-premium-features/.

There may also be other redirect plugins in the repository you could use that may better match your needs: https://wordpress.org/plugins/. Though, if you run into issues with the redirects you will need to contact that plugin author for more information.
