# Issue with Select2

 * Hello,
 * I’ve inherited a website that has been built using your Ultimate Member plugin.
 * Everything seems to be working fine, although my client has complained that the“
   Search” page doesn’t and has never worked.
    Upon further inspection, the search
   page is just a Member directory with search enabled.
 * No matter what member directory i used, or what fields i try to create. Select2
   throws the following error (With relation to the field obviously, this field 
   in question was regions)
 * ‘Uncaught query function not defined for Select2 s2id_regions’
 * Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
    For now, i’ve temporarily resolved
   the issue by simply turning the search off, which is fine while there are little
   members. But the service is growing fast and the ability to search is imperative.

 * That error is telling you that some element(s) is not being loaded or defined
   and can’t be selected.
    I suggest you back up all your files including mySql.
   De activate Ultimate Member and re-activate and update to the latest version.
 * If that doesn’t fix the issue, do a conflict test on the theme first and then
   plugins and see if it is caused by a conflict. You can click the link for directions

 * Hi Borisv, Thanks for getting back to me.
 * I’ve done all the things you would expect, Updated the plugin, reinstalled etc.
 * The odd thing is, the options display, If i inspect the elements i can see the
   select item with the id of s2id_regions.
 * But as the javascript throws an error out, nothing happens when i then click 
   search.
 * Perhaps you could take a look at the page?

 * I took a look and I see all your UM java-script assets appear way too low in 
   the page load order. You should de-activate that theme and test UM with really
   just the Twentysixteenn default one.
 * If that doesn’t resolve the issue, then it’s a plugin conflict. You deactivate
   them and test them one by one ’til you find the culprit.
 * I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s theme and it never really worked though.
