  • The password for staff page suddenly stopped working and now I cannot reset the password. The top boxes allow a new password but “repeat password” just clears top box. Please help as page is unreachable for staff who rely on it.

    @jwebley – Can you please start your own thread? I’ve been waiting more than three days for a reply from the plugin’s author and would like to keep this thread specific to my support request.

    Hi @steve49589, sorry for the delay in my answer. I could imagine this is a conflict with any other style within your theme or other plugins, which is hiding the password in that box. Have a look on that, or send here the output when inspecting the input (e.g. directly with Chrome or Firefox, Firebug old-style method)

    Alberto.

    It looks like the password is visible when in the Mac Firefox browser, but it is showing all *********** in Mac Chrome. Running current versions of both. Here is the fieldset shown in the Chrome Inspector.

    <fieldset>
    <div class="cleanlogin-field">
    <label>Your new password is</label>
    <input type="password" name="pass" value="yQPYAJzY" autocomplete="off" style="background-image: url(&quot;data:image/png;base64,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&quot;); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: scroll; background-size: 16px 18px; background-position: 98% 50%;">
    </div>

    </fieldset>

    I double checked and I CAN see the password in the box when viewed in Firefox.

    I’ve also confirmed the password is showing properly in Mac Safari.

    Next steps? Really would like to solve the issue with Chrome.

    Also, please take a look at the login page at https://dealers.grayguns.com and let me know if that set up is OK. I have both the [clean-login] and [clean-login-restore] shortcodes on the same page. I’m doing this since I have ALL website pages hidden unless the user is logged in.

    Additional information. This is in Chrome.
    – Upon reset request, the URL is showing the correct new password while the field is showing *********
    – If I inspect the field, and change the Input Type from password to text, what you would think would be the password is shown. BUT it is NOT the correct password.

    No idea what is happening here. Two more screen shots…

    It’s better to have them in separate pages, but this is not the issue here. Could you please try to disable other plugins/themes, just looking for locating which one is overriding the style…
