I setup the QUIC CDN for my site about 2 days ago. I had a lot of trouble with setting it up, and in the end I was able to get the CName verified by QUIC by doing the following.

    1. Deleting the AName record that pointed to my origin IP.
    It looked like @ : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

    2. Creating a new CName record and pointing my domain to the url provided by QUIC.
    looks like mydomain.com : cxxxxx.tier1.cloud

Now, when I log on to my dashboard I’m getting a “domain not pointing to nameservers” error. I took another look at the QUIC guide by litespeed, and I think i missed a step.

It was something like, “Create an A name record and point a random subdomain to your origin IP”. Can the Litespeed support please explain this and help me resolve this issue?

    Hi,

I am not exactly sure what is your current issue now ?

the domain seems working correctly on QC now.

Yeah, strangely enough. But I’m still confused because I think I’m missing an A Record.

    origin : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

What does origin mean here? What’s the point of assigning a random subdomain, even though I don’t have any?

    Hi,

I can not understand this by “origin : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” alone.

if you can provide a screenshot of it , it will be easier for me to understand it.

Actually I was referring to what user nimmal said. And what’s written in the Guide for the litespeed cache. It says something about a A Record during the process of setting up the CDN. Here’s a link to that guide btw.

Basically, I’m just concerned I missed a step and it may cause problems somewhere down the line. The only thing I did regarding A Records was to delete a record.

    Hi,

Yes, you should delete the A record, then create CNAME one with same name , and point it to cxxxxx.tier1.quic.cloud

    Best regards,
