[resolved] Issue with post titles on my blog (5 posts)

    Hi there,

I just installed WordPress the other day to run an online newsletter for an organization I'm a part of.

Click here to see what I have so far.

I'm happy in general with the way it looks, but I'm really dumbfounded by the way two of the posts' titles have changed size, along with their respective publishing date and whatnot. I know what I'm doing when it comes to web coding and whatnot, but I am very much confused about this.

Am I just missing one little thing that needs changing? Please let me know; I have to release the link to this site by May 5th, and I really want to have it looking spiffy when I do.

Any other comments and whatnot would be greatly appreciated; I'm always up for ideas!

What are you using to compose your posts -- and why is it embedding <font> tags before every paragraph?

    View source and I see
    <p><font size="3"> your paragraph and then </font></p>

Odds are, the <!--more--> tag is dropping that closing font tag. I'd suggest cleaning all those out of there. You want to use your stylesheet to define the look and feel of your posts.

Shame on me - the example from above came from this post (sorry about leaving that off)

Aha, I never thought to check that--I've been copying and pasting everything over from Word, since everybody's sending me .doc files--I totally removed every single <font size="3"> and all other unwanted tags, and it works great! Thanks, HandySolo!

Generally, copy/paste from word processors will trip you up like that.

Here's an idea though -- grab the "Visualize Advanced Features" plugin. One of the advanced features is a "copy from word" button that might simplify your editing in the future.

[disclaimer: yes, it is my plugin. but I rather like it :) ]
