• I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inform you about a bug I encountered with your plugin. When attempting to use a password containing the ‘%’ character, the plugin failed to function correctly. It was only after I changed my password, removing the ‘%’ character, that the plugin started to work as expected.

This issue caused some inconvenience, and I believe it might affect other users as well. Could you please investigate and address this bug in a future update?

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your efforts in providing a useful tool, and I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

Hi @albertohitech, glad you reached out and please excuse the delayed response here!

I’ve tested creating a new user on my test site with Solid Security enabled and made sure I had the “%” character on my generated password, and I was able to register successfully.

I also confirmed that I could log in with that password and tried a reset password; in both cases, Solid Security is still active on the site and I did not encounter any issues.

Can you please elaborate on which Solid Security feature is failing on your site when using the “%” character on a password? Please confirm if the issue only occurs when Solid Security is active and resolves when deactivated. If you see any errors/messages when the issue happens, please send them here.

I think I have the same problem.

    Hey folks!

Apologies, we misread the first reply here and thought you were referring to a different SolidWP product.

We’ve tried to replicate an issue with the (newly rebranded) Solid Mail plugin, and I’m not seeing issues with a password containing %.

Can you pass along some steps to see the problem now? I’m operating under the assumption that this issue was fixed in the rebrand of the plugin to Solid Mail.
