[resolved] Issue with plugin icons using add_menu_page() (2 posts)

Being a fan of the new MP6 look and feel, I installed it already on a number of sites.

And then some strange things happen with the icons in the admin bar for plugins that use add_menu_page() to define the custom plugin icon.
The actual icon shown in the bar seems to depend on the order in which the plugins are installed. Some earlier installed plugins seem to show their icon ok while plugins installed after activating MP6 show a generic icon instead.

An example of such a plugin is Store Locator Plus.

The same applies for the custom icons used by themes (e.g. Diary from mythemeshop.com/).

With the latest update to MP6 v2.0, I hoped this issue would have been solved. Unfortunately, all sites and all plugins now only show the generic icons instead of the custom icons.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Since 2.0, MP6 replaces all menu icon images (as best as possible) with a generic icon. It's up the each plugin author to define a MP6 compatible icon.
