I too am having issues. I tried upgrading when version 2 came out, but caused conflicts with other plugins & code on the site, which I think is to do with jQuery, as if I downgrade again all is well.
I just tried again, but still have the same issues.

@butchersoldboys, you should say what is the plugin which conflicts with Nextgen, the error may depends on an already known conflict or a new one. Then, you should say what’s the issue/error, because “some sort of issue” isn’t useful at all.
The plugin that next Gen Gallery conflicts with is Logos showcase. The issue is that when next gen is activated it stops the logos showcase carousel from operating. I’m not an expert on this so I that’s all the info I can give.

I don’t know that plugin (that’s a premium plugin, with support included), but it’s for display images too, so probably it’s more than a conflict, it’s an incompatibility I guess.
I suppose you’ll have to choose between that and Nextgen.

I’ve deactivated the next gen plugin for now and contacted the developers for both to see if the problem can be sorted out. Just thought I’d throw it up here and see if anyone could help.
