# Issue With Moving Servers

 * Hiya guys,
 * I’ve just transferred my blog from [http://www.markspivey.co.uk](http://www.markspivey.co.uk)
   to [http://www.detailsofmylife.net](http://www.detailsofmylife.net)
 * Everything seems to be ok apart from the fact if a user clicks on a post title,
   instead of directing them to the correct link it just displays an error page.
   This goes for old posts and also ones that have just been created.
 * for example:
 * [http://www.detailsofmylife.net/news/welcome/](http://www.detailsofmylife.net/news/welcome/)
 * Help me please!

 * Did you turn on pretty permalinks in your new WP installation? Even if you did,
   make sure the permalinks are set to the right structure and click save changes.
   Also, who’s your host? I know with Godaddy it can take up to an hour for the 
   change to work properly (because changing permalinks alters the .htaccess file)
   and in the meantime you get a 404 like you’re seeing.

 * I have seo-slugs plugin running and my default permalinks structure is /%category%/%
   postname%/
 * I’m using iPage now, it used to be on Godaddy.
 * Weird, I swear I didn’t modify anything and now it seems to be working? Maybe
   it was the .htaccess like you said?
