Hi @gianni333,
Once the download starts in a customers browser there isn’t much, if anything, WooCommerce can do. I’m not certain then if a particular products download is consistently stopping at the same spot.
Do you notice this happening when the zip file is over 1GB, and if so what’s the exact details of it? If you don’t use force downloads do things work as they should?
Hi and thanks for the answer. The problem exists for any file larger than 1 GB. It just stopps downloading after about 500 MB. This goes both for the “force downloads” and the “X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile” option. I’ve read that “redirect only” should work, but I can’t use that option in order to protect the files.
My Server host just told me they are using litespeed (www.litespeedtech.com) on their servers. How can I make woocommerce use this method?
@gianni333 I just tested this out with differing results. I zipped up a movie from my hard drive and added it to my store:

I then added it to a product and purchased that product:

From here, I downloaded the file without error:

As can be seen, this was a 2gb file that downloaded fully with no issue. There must be something at the server level that is causing the downloads to fail.
Side note: My personal server is a VPS with KnownHost, which is one of the partners on the LiteSpeed page.
Thanks a lot for the info, I will try to solve this issue with the host company then. The info I’ve gotten from them so far is that they do not have any download limits set, but they offered to help on finding the issue, so we’ll see what happens:)
@gianni333 Sounds good, I am going to mark this thread as resolved for now.
